The Chimoney Engineering team was at the Apex Dev Summit!

Our engineering team attended the Apex Dev Summit on Sep 11th. This summit was a significant learning opportunity, where they delved into the latest trends, technologies, and strategies in the world of financial services. Our team is now equipped with even more knowledge to drive innovation in our industry.  

 

Community Highlights

It’s been another successful year of Chimoney proudly participating in Hacktoberfest, and the community's enthusiasm has been nothing short of remarkable🎉

Here's a quick snapshot of our Hacktoberfest journey:    

Hacktoberfest Contributhons: Our Hacktoberfest Contributhon series spread the open source spirit across various campuses. From Technical University of Kenya to Maseno University and Masinde Muliro University, we inspired students and budding developers to embrace open source, fostering collaboration and learning. As Hacktoberfest concludes, we extend our heartfelt thanks to each and every contributor who made this month unforgettable. 🙌

 

New Partnerships and Integrations

If you have been following our progress, you should know that one of our main goals is to establish strategic partnerships. September and October were two of the months in which we made significant progress in forming these partnerships.

 

Latest Partner: Interledger foundation

We are excited to announce that we have partnered Corpay to further scale Chimoney’s capabilities, giving Chimoney Payouts recipients access to redeem their payments directly to bank accounts in more countries. This partnership would also enable us to create a more interconnected environment for developers, users, and businesses.

 

Community Growth:

We are thrilled to share that our community has experienced an incredible surge in members and followers! We now have over 6,000+ followers across all our social media platforms, and our growth has been nothing short of phenomenal. In September, we achieved some incredible milestones:  

• 🚀 Twitter: Over 5,000 followers!
• 🌐 Discord: Our community is growing rapidly with over 300 members in our group.
• 🌟 Meta: We are gaining momentum with 700 followers.
• 🔗 LinkedIn: We are connecting with over 1,000 followers.
• 🎥 YouTube: We are grateful to have over 500 subscribers who have joined us on this journey!  

We owe this incredible momentum to the unwavering support of our community. Together, let us continue this exciting journey and achieve even greater things!  

Active Participation: Our community members have been tirelessly contributing to our open-source projects, making invaluable enhancements.

New Collaborators: We welcomed many new faces to our repository. Their fresh perspectives and skills have added significant value to our growing open-source community.

Countless Contributions: From code improvements to documentation enhancements, and even fixing those pesky typos, our contributors have been dedicated and thorough.
